I enjoy spending time with my family, including my 2 children, 2 dogs, and 3 cats! I am an avid reader and am never without a book handy. I love baking and cooking, and have recently begun trying my hand at gardening!
I believe in compassion and assent based care, and providing the best ABA available. I tailor my teaching methods to child's specific learning needs including play-based, natural environments, and DTT-style methods. I incorporate the caregiver's into the sessions as much as possible to ensure generalization of skills and techniques.
My favorite experience was hearing a learner, who was previously non-verbal, tell their parent "I love you" for the first time. It was such a beautiful milestone to witness. Each learner's journey is unique, but it is amazing to see the individual growth that our children make through the collaboration of ABA, caregivers, and other therapies together.
I love see our learners grow and thrive every day! Celebrating the "little victories" each day is so important and those grow into giant milestones for our children over time. Getting to see those for all of our learners is so rewarding.
You can expect that I will take time to get to know you child and family to ensure I am incorporating your family's values into the treatment planning process. I will attempt to pair and get to know your child and their individual teaching needs and utilize the best methods possible to encourage their learning in a fun and engaging way. I will keep each parent involved in all steps of the treatment process to ensure all skill developments generalize to the home and community.
