Hi, my name is Angie! I grew up in New Jersey. I started working with autistic adults in high school, which sparked my passion for supporting individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Since then, I have worked within the autistic community and various other disability populations for over 10 years, and I have been a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for the past 3 years. I currently live in South Carolina, where I provide telehealth services. In my free time, I enjoy walking my dog, traveling, working out, paddleboarding, gardening, and cooking.
In my practice as a BCBA, I take a highly collaborative and compassionate approach, working closely with families, caregivers, and other members of the client’s support team to ensure meaningful and lasting outcomes. I place a strong emphasis on generalization and maintenance of skills so that progress extends beyond therapy sessions and into the client’s everyday environments. I also prioritize selecting goals that are socially valid meaning they are functional, meaningful, and truly beneficial to the client’s long-term independence and quality of life. By ensuring that treatment goals align with the needs and values of each individual and their family, I aim to create interventions that are both effective and truly impactful.
One of my favorite parts of working in this field is seeing how ABA therapy helps parents and children experience everyday life in new and more independent ways. I have worked with many families who share that, through ABA support, they are now able to go to places like the grocery store or Target safely and with more confidence, without the constant concern of elopement or significant tantrum behaviors when their child is told “no” or cannot have something they want. One story that stands out to me involved a parent who was struggling with her child sleeping independently and was co-sleeping every night, which was impacting everyone’s rest. With the implementation of ABA strategies, within just one week her child was successfully sleeping in their own bed, and over time it became their favorite place to be. These moments are incredibly meaningful to me because they reflect real, lasting improvements in quality of life for both the child and the family.
I love what I do because I get to support children and families in creating meaningful, lasting change that improves their everyday lives. Being a BCBA allows me to combine my passion for helping others with evidence-based strategies that build communication, independence, and confidence in the individuals I work with. What is most fulfilling to me is seeing the real-world impact of this work—whether it is a child gaining a new skill, a parent feeling more confident and supported, or a family being able to enjoy activities together that once felt challenging. I value the relationships built along the way and feel grateful to be part of each client’s journey as they grow and reach goals that enhance their overall quality of life.
Parents can expect a supportive, collaborative, and compassionate partnership when working with me. I prioritize open communication and make it a point to ensure that families feel heard, involved, and confident in the treatment process. Together, we will develop individualized, socially meaningful goals that are designed to create real-life improvements in your child’s independence, communication, and daily functioning. I focus heavily on teaching skills that generalize across environments and people, while also supporting long-term maintenance so progress is lasting. Families can also expect a respectful and compassionate approach, where I take the time to understand each child’s unique strengths, needs, and personality. My goal is to provide not only effective ABA services, but also guidance, encouragement, and practical strategies that empower families in their everyday lives.
